Create and print gate transaction level tickets at the truck visit level

N4 gate allows you to configure gate documents that you can print at the gate transaction level or at the truck visit level. However, some information that you may want to include in a gate transaction document is not available until the gate stage is completed. For example, any document printed at the gate transaction level would miss the following details because this information is not available until the gate stage is completed:

• Transaction sequences

• Gross weight calculated at TV level

• Position returned from XPS through TV level business task - ReplanUnitsIntoYard (on page 1)

You can configure your gate workflow to print transaction level documents at the truck visit level when you complete a gate stage either through the UI or through APIs.

To configure the gate workflow to create and print gate transaction level tickets at the truck visit level:

1. Edit the gate transaction type to include the CreateDocument/CreateDocument (on-trouble) (on page 1) and PrintDocument/PrintDocument (on-trouble) (on page 1) business tasks.

2. Use the Actions Set Parameter option to select the Execute At TV Level check box for the CreateDocument (on page 1) and PrintDocument (on page 1) business task pair.

3. Edit the truck visit gate stage to include the following business tasks:

• CreateTransactionDocuments (on page 1)

• PrintTransactionDocuments (on page 1)

Notes

• If you do not perform either of the two steps, N4 prints the transaction level documents at the gate transaction level and not at the truck visit level.

• By default, the Execute At TV Level check box is not selected; therefore, the existing behavior of these business tasks remains the same.

• You can configure this behavior for individual pairs of CreateDocument/CreateDocument (on-trouble) and PrintDocument/PrintDocument (on-trouble) business tasks.
